After a fierce blizzard in the Angeles Mountains of Southern California I went snowshoeing with Mel and Quark to explore the winter wonderland. As we were leaving the first tracks in the new snow, I came upon this beautifully sculpted drift just as the sun was setting behind Mt. Baden-Powell. I didn't even have time to grab my tripod and took this photograph while laying in the snow. A second later the sun was gone, but the magic of the moment is preserved in this limited edition photograph.
